Farm Management.

Management is key of success in poultry farming. We can divide management in two stages,

·         Before arrival of Chicks

·         During the Flock time

Before arrival  of chicks

There are few things we should be the arrival of one day chick in shed.

Take out  the feeding and watering system from shed.

Clean the shed.

Use caustic soda in water during the washing  of shed.

Clean watering and feeding pans and also add some anti-biotic e.g. farmaline in water during washing.

Then white wash whole shed.

Fumigation is also important before arrival of chicks.

Maintain the shed temperature of shed at least 2 hours before the arrival of chicks.

During the Flock time.

First 2 weeks are very important  during the flock,

Provide enough space  to chicks (0.30feet/chick) in first week, and then provide more according to demand of flock and during last week 1feet/chick in open shed and 0.65feet/chick in control shed.

Give fresh water to chicks.

Keep Bio-security.

Give special attention to temperature of shed because it plays an important  role on health of chicken.
